Halli - The Village Vegetarian has roots in Udupi, a town in Karnataka, famous for many food vendors and aromas that are filled in the air. The typical southern Indian food is made with rice and lentils, and sometimes wheat. When mashed and ground to gather with spices and herbs and cooked on a giant sized griddle, dozens of different types of dosa can be made. To ensure the same high quality of food that UDUPI is famous for, we have chefs from Udupi and used special cooking equipment. Every single dish here is prepared with authentic Indian herbs and spices. Halli, the healthy concept: The emphasis is on 'healthy food', less use of oil, sugar, and artificial additives, and more use of natural herbs, and spices is the specialty of Halli Restaurant.
